The mission of Pact is to support prisoners and their families to make a fresh start and to minimise the harm that can be caused by imprisonment on offenders, families and communities. They do this through supporting prisoners’ children and families; supporting prisoners and ex-offenders; delivering relationship and parenting courses; campaigning and advocacy.

Pact provides a Family Engagement Service across the majority of the women’s prison estate supporting women prisoners and their families. Pact also has staff and volunteers running prison visitor centres and providing support for women and their families when appearing at court. Women only family relationship and parenting courses are also delivered by Pact. Their Prisoners’ Families and Friends telephone support line also regularly receives calls from women seeking advice and guidance. Pact are also currently mobilising an exclusive women offender only service across Thames Valley region.
