Apex Charitable Trust offers employment related advice and support to unemployed ex-offenders and assists them in overcoming the barriers they face in securing employment, training, education or voluntary opportunities within the community.

Act 4 Women is a unique facility developed specifically to support women ex-offenders. The service provides fresh opportunities for women in Merseyside who are jobless, often homeless and have a criminal record to learn new skills and find employment. All ACT 4 Women participants receive comprehensive job-finding assistance.

A unique feature of ACT 4 Women service is the opportunity for some participants to receive special training and personal development support to enable them to be volunteer befrienders ‘peer mentors’ and work alongside Apex staff in delivering the service.
