Policy
Women’s Breakout, formerly Women’s Centre Forum, was established in 2008 as an informal network to build the capacity and to develop a shared identity for third sector community-based organisations working with women offenders and women at risk of offending across England and Wales.
Who We Are
Women’s Breakout is a membership organisation for more than 50 voluntary and community sector organisations working with women offenders and women at risk of involvement in the criminal justice system. Our Governance Structures and Documents
Women’s Breakout Forum and Practitioners Group meet throughout the year. The decision making body for Women’s Breakout is the Executive Board which is made up of Women’s Breakout members, advisors and co-opted individuals or representatives from organisations which support our aims and objectives. Strategic and Delivery Plan
Strategic Aims
Womens Breakout Strategic and Delivery Plan comes from these three aims:
Infrastructure, Representation and Voice:To provide a credible, influential voice for the Women’s Community Project sector.
Communication and Partnership:To promote a consistent, informed message in strategic and partnership arenas in local, regional, national, European and international settings; and across the wider gender agenda.
Capacity building, Quality and Equality: To support the development and sustainability of the Women’s Community Project sector by improving and demonstrating a high standard in the quality of services in this sector and by sharing learning and fostering innovation.
